What a weekend. Kai has been training big time for the last 9 weeks for this past weekends testing for his high brown belt. He did amazing and passed. It's wonderful to see him accomplish a goal he set. He seems to now be enjoying his martial arts training. Before, even just a few weeks ago, he was saying he hated it but after this weekend he really has changed his tune and you could see the pride in his eyes & it was certainly a wonderful experience & moment as parents.
We rented a 2 bedroom suite at the resort where they do all the testing so it made things a lot easier and we were lucky enough to have my mom & sisters, Terri & Whitney along with us. It happens to be my mom's birthday weekend too so it was nice to spend the time with her & she loved being able to watch Kai in action. I have to say thank you to my mom & sisters for all their help with Pea too. She was a little out of control fire cracker. Lets see...she locked her self in the bathroom once where we were able to get her out with a credit card, then she locked her self in our room and we ended up having to call security to let her out. Oh and lets not forget she got a hold of my mom's foundation makeup...Oh yea it was ALL over her face caked on as well as her clothes. There is no rest when Pea is around. But it was a great weekend over all.
Lastly just have to say thank you to my amazing husband. For the most part he is the one that primarily takes Kai to karate. Especially in these last 9 weeks & it was a lot so this is also his high brown belt. He drills Kai and works him to get what he needs done but in the end to see the pride in Kai's eyes and Jason's...AWESOME. I love my boys very much and it's heart warming to hear your husband give those encouraging words to our son. So thank you baby for all the time and energy you have put in. You really are amazing.
I am posting some video of Kai during testing and the final ceremony. Some of it's not really good but just glad we have any at all. Also posting pictures of the adventure below.

Kai relaxing before the craziness begins. He went from 5:00pm on Friday to 10:00 that night the up early to run on Saturday morning at 8:00am and they tested and such till 10:00pm that night and up early today to be lined up by 8:00am and dismissed at about 12:30pm. WHEW!

There is a walkway bridge we crossed to get to the building the conference rooms where in so in the distant we are pretty sure that is the evil 14er Mt. Quandry. That was the 1st 14er we did and it was brutal.

Master Seo dismissed all the students, the one's that did not need to re-test at about 10:00 pm on Saturday night and told them to go swimming. Kai and Whitney of course quickly jumped on that. It was his only moment of down time really & they loved that it was out doors and indoors you just swam under the wall to get outside & it was snowing which was even better in their eyes.
