The Harms Family Adventures: My My My...

What a whirl wind of activity we have had in the last 5 months. The last week alone has been so crazy! We had Zoe's 1st birthday..Yes I know hard to believe she is now 1 years old. Then today is Kai's 9th birthday, but it seems like he was 8 forever. So strange that it can seem like Zoe's 1st year just flew but Kai's took forever.

Let's start with sweet pretty girl Zoe. We had her birthday gathering here at the new house. She had yummy hot dogs, potatoe salad, baked beans and of course her birthday cup cake. We had cupcakes made up in Elmo's. She was a little unsure of how it would taste, but this little girl loves sweets so she got one taste and that was it. She was all over it. She was so tuckered by the end of the day and just out.

So at 12 months she is now on whole milk durning the day. We started with mixing breast milk and whole milk and now she is only drinking whole milk during the day. She only nurses in the morning and before bed. I am so happy that I was able to hit my goal of a year with nursing her. Now I will just let her decide when she is ready to be done with the monring and night time nursing. She has taken a step here and there but is not fully walking. She cruises all over the place though. She is now working her way to getting off the beds and walking down the stairs. She still does not have a lot to say. She will bark whe she hears or see's a dog, and will quak like a duck, but no real words that you would understand. She did say duck once or twice. She weighs about 17 lbs and is 29 1/2 inches. Just an amazing little girl.

Kai has become such a wonderful boy. He is so tall and thin and just solid. He is such a good big brother and loves his little sister. She is mean to him though. He can make her laugh a lot though. We had his birthday party at the APEX Center where they swam and ate pizza and cake. He was so tired though. He specifically said it was his birthday so he was sleeping in and he did. We took him to breakfast and then went to Target where he used a gift card to get a DS game. Now he wants me to make him my hamburger's for dinner. He is now out of school so he is going to day camp again. LaCross is over and we had a nice BBQ with his team mates last Sunday. He will play again next year for sure.
