There is just not enough time these days.

Yea I know trying to stay on top of the blog seems to be the very last thing on my list these days.

Summer came and went, first day of school came and went, 2 weddings came and went, family vacation came and went.

Time doesn't stop and the blog won't update itself, even though I have told it to a number of times. It seems as the kids get older the more things we find ourselves doing.  With our lil man in football and karate and Pea also in karate, there really seems to be no time.  I don't know how parents who have their kids in 3 or more sports do it.  I certainly wouldn't.

So rather than post details on what we've been update I'll just post some favorite pictures from these months and a little detail to each one.

Our view from the balcony of a house we rented in Twin Lakes, Colorado.  Every afternoon it rained & we had this amazing view to marvel at.

This was an early morning as the clouds were clearing.

Maroon Bells in Aspen, CO.

Lil man swimming in the lake.  It was cold!

Pea playing in the sand.

Pea our little heart breaker.

Nice hike up to Angnes Vaille Falls.  Unfortunately just about a week ago a family that was hiking up this same path died because big boulders came crashing down.  Only 1 of the members that went on the hike that day made it, so tragic and praying for their peace and comfort.  Thankful to have seen it since there are now talks of closing the trail down.

Pea and her daddy.

Me and my baby girl.  She is at my hip all the time.

Humming birds came by a lot.

Not really perfected my picture taking of the sky at night, but I think I did a decent job of figuring it out.

Loved looking at the stars at night.

Independence Pass to get to Aspen, CO.  Loved the drive, didn't care for Aspen too much though.

Time well spent with family in July.

Next up was my Dad and Maria's wedding.

Brides beautiful hair up do.

Table center pieces

Butterfly decorations make for a happy day.

My sister Terri and very cool cousin Shawn.

Candles were lit up.

My Dad and his Best Man and Grooms boy - our lil man.

Pretty Pea is the flower girl.  Bribery to get her into this dress and wear the flower bow in her hair was a Forest Everygreen (Boy) doll.

Ready to say those vows.

Hands joined together.

Bride and sweet Pea.

Her hands are still pudgy and baby like.  Not looking forward to when that goes away.

Rare picture of brother and sister, but they were great this day.

Yea sums up our family.  Father and son tug and pull and mother and daughter tied together.

We're really a very happy family.

I love this picture.  My Dad was laughing so hard, he just looks so happy.  Love it.

Congratulations to my new step-mom and Dad.  Love you both and so happy you are officially one!!!

All joys in my life for sure.
Boy oh boy does Pea love our cousin Chivonnie.  She has an amazing heart and love for children and people.  Pea misses her and we do too.  Can't wait to see her any my Aunite Nacnci again. So many pictures and times where Pea will smile and we see my Auntie Nanci.  In fact a pic coming up..
1st day of school.  Our first grader.

She is in Mrs. Hansen's class.  Big sign to lead the way.

So thankful for her school that prays before class.  A father lead the class in prayer on the first day.

Our football player.  This is just his practice jersey.  He is such a lil man.  Really!!!

One of my best friends is getting married (well is married now) we threw her a high tea bridal shower.  Fun time.

My Mom and lil siter Whitney

Me and my Mom.  Love her dearly, she is so strong and amazing!

Loved this little chandelier in a corner.

Just ME!

Here are the ladies playing some games.

Sweet Charice and her Mom.

Beautiful Bride and me.

And here she looks like my Auntie Nanci.

Our plumeria flowers from Hawaii are offically blooming since July and man they just smell amazing.  I had been wearing this one most of the day and Pea wanted her turn.

I'm sure you have all heard about the flooding here in Colorado if you're not here.  Many areas here in Arvada had damage to roads, so that has affected traffic and such and many students live up in Coal Creek Canyon which the main road there was washed out so it takes students a hour longer to get to school and home.  They have asked some parents to offer up their homes for some of the students during the week to save time for the kids.  We did offer up our home, but they kids that needed it had been placed already.

Our only real concern was the Ralston Creek which is about 4 houses from us, which was flooding. It is a creek and not a raging river by any means, but at 1:30 am on one of the mornings, we got a Code Red alert call that tells us they're worried about the Dams breaching which can cause even more flooding of the creek.  The next morning we head out to find the creek a raging river.  Thankfully it never made to the house that starts our entrance, but it was just a little freaky to see what the amount of rain can do and then to think if the dam's did breach or just failed what in the world that can do.  Here is a panoramic view from the entrance from our neighborhood.

Here is a video of us walking to the creek from our house to see what is going on.  Keep in mind in this video where there is raging water there is a bike path that is pretty big.  That was completely covered by water and you certainly didn't go in it because it was a raging river...really.

Thankfully things have cleared up here, roads are still closed as they repair in our area, but many homes and communities are rebuilding and cleaning up.  Please pray for them as they need hope and comfort at this time.

Lastly one of my best friends was married.  It was a beautiful wedding, we were worried about the storms and rain because it was the week of all the rain and flooding, but praise Jesus, it was like His hand was over the wedding and keeping the rain away for her special day.
This big bolder use to be at the kids first school.  Maranatha Christian Center.  The owners sold the school and then moved here to start a new ministry.  It's a beautiful home/retreat, and it was wonderful to catch up with them and the kids LOVED seeing them again.

These chairs were there in remembrance of loves one's not able to be there because they're in Heaven.  Autumn's Mom (Edna), Sister (Clarissa), brother (Terry) and Doug's dad.

Bring her to me.

Yea for a wedding!  Congratulations Doug and Autumn.  Praying for joy and abundant love for the rest of your lives.
Pea playing in the sand in her pretty dress.  She is so precious!

One of the greatest friends, Andrea...I love this girl, she is amazing.

Some of the best ladies in my life.

My lil man and my love.

He makes me laugh all the time, and that is just what he was doing here.

We we're just trying to get a decent picture.

The wind chime to the right was for Edna.  I believe it was one of hers and loved that it was right there when I was taking pictures.  I looked over at it and just remember her always telling me she was praying for us and Jason.  She was always praying for everyone.  Miss her dearly.
Kai took this picture of me.  I wanted to have one of my hair and the flowers are from our wonderful plant.

Well and Pea...she was too busy running around to take pictures so was able to capture this one.

Just another Saturday morning watching lil mans freshman team play some football.

That has been our summer and start to fall.  Busy busy and never ends...but we're still here and breathing.
